Missions
Y-TEC is developing technologies for the current and future energy industry. Its missions state the company’s vision on those strategic areas.
The Lithium Mission develops new technologies for the exploitation of the entire value chain of this resource. It drives national industrialization through the production of batteries, cells, active materials and electrolyte, in cooperation with the national scientific system, universities, organizations and innovative companies.
The objectives of this Mission are to develop hydrogen-related technologies that foster national development based on local knowledge and contribute to the promotion of a hydrogen economy in Argentina through the technical and strategic leadership of the H2Ar Consortium, a collaborative work space made up of top-level companies acting in the hydrogen value chain, from production to application.
The main objectives of this Mission are to develop new technologies for subsoil characterization and to optimize and improve hydrocarbon production and completion techniques.
The purpose of this Mission is to develop innovative Upstream technologies, both Conventional and Non-Conventional, with a view to optimizing well P&WO, production, integrity, repair and abandonment tools and systems. It also focuses on processes associated with surface facilities, dehydration, water quality, integrity, production monitoring and alternative methodologies to increase the recovery factor.
The main objective of this Mission is to develop disruptive technology solutions that allow increasing the capacity of the Argentine hydrocarbon transportation system to ensure the comprehensive development of Vaca Muerta.
This Mission has three main purposes: to strengthen the local chemical industry through production and marketing of innovative products for the O&G sector (chemicals with nanotechnology, surfactants and specialty polymers, among others) and to be a regional benchmark in terms of MIC solutions, through the development of innovative methodologies and high-impact products.
The objective of the Fuels Mission is to develop YPF’s fuel portfolio and production processes, strengthening the company’s technical superiority and optimal environmental performance, as well as anticipating future opportunities and challenges.
Y-TEC’s Environment Mission has the strategic objective of developing new technologies for the energy industry, within the framework of the circular economy, with a focus on the regeneration of natural systems, the recovery of waste and the sustainable design of products.
The objective of this Mission is to develop technology for the agriculture of the future, which increases productivity based on the pillars of innovation and sustainability, comprehensively applying the concept of intelligent nutrition to our practices. It has five lines of research: bioinputs, low-impact inputs, digitalization, sustainable energy and plant improvement.
This is a cross-functional Mission, which provides specialized technical and scientific support to all the company’s strategic lines. In this sense, it develops various analysis and characterization methodologies according to the requirements of each of the company’s research projects.
